Posted: Updated:

A siouxland man is dead after failing to stop during a traffic stop.

The Iowa State Patrol says 22-year-old Adam Williams of Rockwell City is dead after crashing his motorcyle during a chase with a Calhoun County Sheriff's Deputy near Lohrville.

The Iowa State Patrol says the deputy tried to stop Williams for speeding Friday night when Williams turned around and continued in the opposite direction.

The patrol says the deputy was pursuing Williams when Williams' motorcycle crashed into the rear of pickup driven by 54-year-old Daniel Wallace of Fonda.

Williams was ejected off his motorcycle and died at the scene.

Wallace was not injured.
