Officials say a Yankton, South Dakota man is missing after his boat was found empty on a sand bar in the Missouri River.

The Bon Homme County Sheriff's Office says 46-year-old Michael Larson of Yankton has been missing since his boat was found empty around 3:45 Friday afternoon.

The boat was resting on a sand bar in the middle of the Missouri River near Running Water, South Dakota.

Crews searched all weekend, but haven't had success in locating Larson.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bon Homme Sheriff's Office in Tyndall, South Dakota.
