We have word of another fast spreading email virus that's running wild on the internet.
And your computer could be at risk.
It's an email that looks like a news update or a magazine article, but once you click on the link inside to read more...you could actually be infecting your computer.
It started with Superbowl emails and now they've spread to celebrity subject lines.
Most currently, those email's are relating to Michael Jacksons death.
Spammers are using these current events and hot topics to get people to open the email.
Once you click on the link inside, hackers implant malicious software into your computer.
"The thing that people need to understand is: do not click on links in emails if you receive a link like that just delete it." said Long Lines Security Administrator Deb Hale
Hale also says when you click on spam emails like these, they multiply by sending out thousands more.
So again the biggest piece of advice to avoid a major computer meltdown, is to just delete the email.
Officials say the virus could even wipe out your entire hard drive, so beware of any current event emails that direct you to the article through a link.
