Authorities are still trying to figure out how a historic Sioux City church caught fire.
Firefighters were called to the church shortly after three on Friday afternoon, to find smoke pouring out of the stained glass windows in the front of St. Joseph's Church.
After the blaze was contained the church suffered smoke and water damage.
Yesterday a restoration company started cleaning the inside of St. Joseph's, to salvage what was not yet completely destroyed.
The church's priest says this isn't the perfect situation, but everyone is going to have to come together in faith, prayer and action.
The church has been an active parish for over 130 years.
