Its called "Dentistry from the Heart and this is the 4th year that Siouxland Dental Health workers have come into work on their day off, and offered their services for free.
There are no appointments, everyone that walks in before 5:00, gets treated
According to Siouxland Dental Health officials, around 150 people came to get their pearly whites in tip top shape.
" The patients love it we get a lot of tears of happiness, we get a lot of hugs and a lot of jokes and a lot of high fives its just really a heartwarming day." said Dentist John Meis
About 50 people volunteered their time today, including Siouxland Dental Health employees, dental students, and even community members.
Today they treated clients sixteen years old and older. And come February during Children's Dental Health month, they will hold another free day called Little Hearts, Little Smiles just for kids.
Dentistry from the heart, Is held every year on the Saturday following Labor Day weekend.
