Union County Sheriff, Dan Limoges confirmed that Kimberly Cudmore, 38-years-old, was hit by a car on Sunday night.  The accident happened just two miles south of Jefferson, South Dakota.  Limoges says that Cudmore, who is from Jefferson, intentionally walked into traffic after an argument with her boyfriend.

She was taken to Mercy Medical Center, and then transferred to the Nebraska Medical Center, where she is listed in serious condition.

Meanwhile, the driver of the car, Matthew Cook, 33-years-old, has not been charged in the accident.
