Several people have been taken to the hospital after a three car crash outside South Sioux City.
The accident happened at the intersection of Highway 77 and 5th Avenue shortly before 5pm on Wednesday.
According to police, the driver was weaving in and out of traffic on the bypass and rear-ended a car at the stoplight. That caused a chain reaction accident with another car. The driver was cited for driving recklessly and not having a license.
Police say the passenger in that car had just been issued a citation at Wal-Mart for shoplifting minutes before the crash.
Four people, including the passenger were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
