It's a more than three million dollar project that is suppose to help slow drivers down.
But instead it's leaving many folks literally turned around.
You won't find many of these in rural areas.
But a new roundabout in Winnebago, Nebraska is taking drivers in circles.
It's supposed to slow down traffic, and make it easier for drivers to get through intersections, but some drivers feel that it isn't helping.
"It just seems to be congested even though there's not a lot of vehicles going through it, it just seems to be congested and time consuming."
Crews have been working all summer to put in Winnebago's new roundabout system.
"What we're finding is that roundabouts are very useful tools in certain locations, for calming traffic, in other words slowing it down as its coming into town."
That location was the intersection of Highway 77 and 75, and it's leaving drivers confused and frustrated.
"You just gotta slow down and pay attention to what's going on there, I'm sure it'll be nice when they get done but it's just a pain in the you know rear."
"I was kinda confused at first, as what you know it was gonna be, thought maybe like, we were gonna drive around in circles, haha, but I can see now that its going to improve the traffic flow through the area here."
Just what the $3.2 Million project is supposed to do.
"It turned out that traffic movement, safety not only for the vehicles but for pedestrians would be greatly enhanced if we put a roundabout here."
And some folks are hoping the roundabout will help a big problem the town sees everyday.
"I don't feel the construction sight is a big hassle, I look for it to be an improvement and hopefully it'll slow down all the big semi's that come through here, because they do come through pretty fast."
The project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
Officials say the roundabout will also help with pedestrian traffic in Winnebago.
