Oktoberfest is all about celebrating the German Heritage.

Oktoberfest is celebrated every year on the last Saturday of October, this year it just so happened to fall on Halloween.

Oktoberfest is held every year at the St Mary's High School in Remsen.

Hundreds of people dressed the part and dance to live German bands.

There are several stands set up to buy your favorite German accessories, such as German hats and boots that you can drink out of.

It's a day most people of Remsen look forward to every year.

People even come ahead of time to get in line to eat some authentic German food such as German potato salad, German soups, and headcheese.

Oktoberfest not only brings most of the Remsen community together, folks even come in on busloads from all around the area to take part in the event.
