It's a scene that's hard to believe, and one person  watched it unfold outside her window.

It's a story you won't see anywhere else.

One of the largest businesses in Lake View has been severely damaged after a towering inferno destroyed it, in a matter of minutes.

The eyewitness video was shot by Kevin and Beth Litterer around 8 o'clock when the fire started.

In a matter of minutes several buildings were completely engulfed in flames.

"When we arrived on the scene the fire was already through the roof, at that time we had paged for mutual aid, says Fire Chief Jim Garrels.

Five fire crews were called to help battle the blaze that broke out at Hancock Concrete Products.

One volunteer firefighter that responded to the call even worked at the business.

"It's still a shocker to me, i hardly know what to say right now, between the people that we employ, its been over here for 100 years, and now its gone, say employee and fire fighter Corey Bundt.

The aftermath of the fire left eight to ten million dollars in damage, and nearly eight buildings in complete loss.

For folks living with feet of the blaze, they say it was nothing like they've ever seen.

"We've been here for four years, and i've never seen anything like this in my life, to be this close and to get such a vantage point it was quite incredible, say eyewitness Beth Litterer.

Because the plant had already shut down for seasonal purposes, there were no injures reported.

No cause has been determined yet, but fire officials know it started in the maintenance area.
