Pharmacists, doctors and scientists alike are calling it the magic pill of weight loss, and one Siouxland woman lost over 50 pounds using it.
Meg Evans, formally of Sioux City, made national television while participating in a miraculous medical study.
She used a new pill called "QNEXA".
"I did the curves diet, and lost 20 pounds on that, but then I, it's something that you have to do their exact menu and it just wasn't me, it didn't work I'd gain it back, says Evans.
But doctors are confident this new weight loss pill "QNEXA", will do the trick.
It's an appetite suppressant called phentermin, combined with an epilepsy drug that makes you feel fuller.
Meg Evans lost 55 pounds from the weight loss pill, and studies show the average weight loss from using "QNEXA", is 14.7%, while other drugs tested only hit 8%.
It may still be a year before the drug gets FDA approval and available to the public.
