At Bob Roes some were wearing Iowa Hawkeye colors, some even Ohio State colors, but Saturday the color purple covered the bar for National Alzheimer's Month.

A special fundraiser was held during the Iowa, Ohio State game to create awareness.

The Big Sioux Alzheimer's Association decorated the bar with purple, everything from purple balloons to even purple beer.

Eukie Okwumuo from the organization says they owe the successful day to the efforts of those from Bob Roes Pointe After.

"All of the proceeds from each pizza, each pitcher of beer, each bottle of beer, some of that will come back towards the association to help with our programs and seniors like an adult daycare, so that's great Bob Roes has been great supporters of the association, so we're very grateful to be here."

With the success of the day, the organization hopes to make this an annual event.
