The boys of red and the boys of blue are shipping out to bring home the gold.

It's state football time and the undefeated Ponca High Indians are gearing up to take down their rival team, the Hartington Cedar Catholic Trojans on the Nebraska Cornhusker's home turf.

While Hartington CC has played in the championship game before, this is a first for Ponca.

Ponca High Quarterback, Andrew Watchorn, says, "It's gonna be amazing, I mean you dream of this as a little kid, playing where all your heroes go. It's gonna take a lot of heart and hustle. We're just gonna have to go out and do what we've done all year."

And the 10-2 Trojans who've already made a head start for Lincoln have their number one fans preparing for a win back home.

Laurie Leise, mother to Hartington CC's Quarterback, Justin Leise, says, "We are pumped! We are excited! We painted the van for the boys and for the whole team – all the parents did. It's been a great season. We're proud of them."

While the two teams are located only about 40 miles apart, neither one says they're about to share the championship title.

Hartington CC fan, Jordan Anderson, says, "From Cedar Catholic or public school, we're all backing the team. We're gonna win, definitely."

Pam Curry, mother to Ponca's Runningback, says, "Ponca's gonna win tomorrow, because we're the better team."

While the teams may not see eye to eye on the final outcome, one thing's for sure.

Curry says, "They're very, very excited. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for them."

And they both have one dream in common: claming the 2009 championship title.

Leise says, "One team, one dream!...That's our motto!"

The teams will face off tomorrow morning at 10:15 at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.
