A $10 million judgment against the owner of Siouxland's newest casino has been overturned.

In 2007, a jury awarded the money to Sioux City businessman John Pavone.

He claimed the owner of the Wild Rose Casino in Emmetsburg, Gary Kirke, had broken a contract calling for Pavone's company to manage the property.

However, the Iowa Court of Appeals has now ruled it was simply "an agreement to agree" on a future contract. They added that the owner of the Wild Rose acted in good faith.
