One day after stuffing themselves with turkey, millions of consumers hungry for bargains, were stuffing shopping bags today.

Recession or no recession, shopping is at the top of the list for some Siouxlander's; especially Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year.

Cold temperatures, long lines, and packed parking lots.

You guessed it, it's Black Friday.

"It was a party! all our guests were awesome, they were neatly lined up for us, we had steered them through our blue entrances and then they just made their way into the store nice and calmly. Well, relatively calmly, says Target employee Bill Bode.

The madness of black Friday began very early, with hundreds making mad dashes to the doors, to be the first to get their hands on those hot deals.

"We went to Walmart first, and I've never been to walmart on black Friday and it was absolutely ridiculous, and the people there, they were crazies!, says holiday shopper Jodi Phippen.

Tthis year, people were crazy for electronics.

"Oh we had to do the flat screen tv's, the dvd's and all that kinda good stuff, and stood in line a little while but it wasn't too bad", says holiday shopper Randy Burns.

Despite the sluggish economy, several Siouxland store's say the lines this black Friday were even longer than last year, and its kept a steady pace all morning.

Recession or not, people are buying into black Friday's holiday sales, and some shoppers are leaving words of advice for those that maybe do get a little, too crazy!

"It's fun, people get a little out of hand i think, just take it easy be calm and have fun with it."

"To all you people out there, you're crazy, enjoy."

Now finding the perfect gift for that special someone all while fighting the crowds at the store can be grueling, so if you didn't find anything today don't worry, and wanted to avoid the hustle and bustle, there's always cyber Monday.

Cyber Monday is traditionally the biggest day for online holiday sales.
