Firefighters in Paullina, Iowa were busy Tuesday night battling a huge fire, and the blizzard-like conditions only made things worse. The blaze started in an apartment complex at about 9:30pm Tuesday. The building also houses Mesner's Restaurant. More than fifteen fire departments were called in to battle the fire.
All residents in the apartment and adjacent buildings were evacuated and no one was injured. However, there was extensive damage to atleast two buildings downtown.
The fire is still under investigation.
