Break in Storm is Busting out Shoppers

Call them procrastinators, or call them smart.

Many folks hit the stores to get their last minute necessities before the weather started to get much worse. It was cold and windy but not to the point where folks couldn't get out and about for the last minute things they needed before Christmas. Some of these trips were for groceries.

Andy Olson, from Emerson, Neb., says, "We're getting ready to head for home, we work here, in town, we've got about a 30 mile drive home and we thought we better stock up on some groceries. I don't think the weather's gonna be too favorable, so we're not gonna take any chances."

Others saw today's lull as the perfect opportunity to finish up the last of their Christmas shopping.

Gina Galloway from Sioux City, says, "We just ran out for a couple of things we needed for dinner tonight and a last minute gift for my daughter here, hopefully before the weather gets too bad.

And that's exactly what's supposed to happen. So while Christmas shopping is always better late than never. The idea today, was better sooner than later.
