Neurocrine names CEO of Receptos to its board

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Neurocrine Biosciences Inc. said Monday it named the chairman and CEO of Receptos Inc. to its board.
William H. Rastetter joined the Neurocrine board immediately, the company said.
Rastetter is also chairman of Illumina Inc. and was executive chairman of Biogen Idec Inc. from 2003 to 2005. He had been CEO of forerunner Idec Pharmaceuticals. Receptos is a privately held drug-development company.
Shares of Neurocrine rose 18 cents to $2.36 in afternoon trading.
