It was an ice skating, puck passing, hockey playing event for area youngsters. And, It was all for free!
A skating workshop, hosted by the TJ Reinsch Youth Hockey Organization was an idea created, in part, by a father, hoping to carry on the legacy of his son.
Reinsch says, "Our foundation is for my late son and one of his passions was hockey, his real passion was hockey and he always liked to help get little kids started in the sport."
And with today's turnout of nearly 80, eager to get some one–on–one time with their favorite Musketeer, so far, this idea seems to be working.
Young hockey player, Jaiz Barner, says, "I want to be a professional hockey player when I grow up, because I think hockey is super fun."
Kids, ages 4-9 were invited to participate today. If you'd like more information on the organization or its upcoming events, head to: www.wholoveshockey.org
