Ever since Mrs. Cousin's eighth grade English class, I've wanted to be in broadcasting. It only took one mock newscast and I was hooked. I love thinking on my feet and getting down to the truth of the matter.
I was born outside of San Francisco, California. A month shy of my 10th birthday my family packed everything up and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. Therefore, I like to think of myself as a half and half; half easy-going beach lover and half down-to-earth hard working Midwesterner.
I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Journalism. I also minored in Music Theory & History as well as Linguistics. While at UK I worked every facet of campus radio and TV including anchoring, reporting, and producing (to name a few). I also served as News Director of the campus radio station for a year.
Before coming to KCAU, I worked in production at Cincinnati's NBC affiliate, WLWT, for a little over a year. In my free time I love to play and listen to music. I especially love to travel. I've been to many countries but a few of my favorites are France, Morocco, Wales, and Greece. I'm proud to call Siouxland home and continue to be amazed by the kindness and generosity of the people here. If you have any comments, questions, or stories you might like me to cover, please feel free to send me an e-mail.
Thanks for stopping by!
