Sioux City Man Charged With Killing Dog Pleads Not Guilty

The Sioux city man who's accused of beating his bulldog puppy to death has pleaded not guilty.

35-year-old Bobby Loggins pleaded not guilty to one animal torture charge, a misdemeanor, Thursday morning.   The incident happened during a house party at Loggins home in the 16-hundred block of 23rd street last week.  Eyewitnesses told police Loggins punched the dog over 30 times after it urinated on his carpet.

If convicted, Loggins could spend 2-years in prison and pay a $6250 fine.  His trial is set for August.
