A life cut too short is raising some concerns in one sioux city neighborhood.

What happened to Jaxon Stark is all too fresh in the minds of family and friends who are left picking up the pieces after his life was cut short on the streets of his Sioux City neighborhood.

It was a day Jaxon Stark's family and neighbors may never forget.

"It was the most distressing thing to see as I was coming home from work, this massive truck you know and this tiny little bicycle broken underneath it. I just feel so sorry for his family and for him." Says neighbor Libby FLoyd.

Playful, always with a smile on his face and full of life- ways Latisha Brown describes her little cousin Jaxon and Libby Floyd would have to agree, adding his loss, will be a great one to the neighborhood.

"It's a terrible tragedy and great loss, I think he was a beautiful little kid and I wish I had known him better. My heart goes out to the family." Says Floyd.

Brown says the amount of visitors he had in his hospital room goes to show how much Stark was a neighborhood favorite. But after three days in what Brown called a "hard fought" fight for his life, Stark lost that battle and his family is left wondering, why?

Floyd is left wondering the same, but hoping for change.

"I hope it should urge the city to stop and think twice about allowing trucks this size to continue going through these streets. This is a safe place for children to play, there's such a community between families watching after probably 70 children running around all the time. I really hope the city should disallow trucks to go on these roads." Says Floyd.

The family is also left wondering if they will get any sort of apology from the trucking company. 33 year old Joel Kubic of Thurston, Nebraska was driving the semi that hit Stark.

Sioux City Police say the driver of the truck is not facing any charges, saying he was not at fault for the accident.
