Thirteen days.
That's how long it took me to pack up my belongings and ship myself here to Sioux City. I've lived in Bridgewater, Massachusetts my entire life so that was a pretty quick turn around, if I do say so myself.
I had never been to Sioux City before the big move, or even the Midwest for that matter. I went to school at Emerson College in Boston where I received a Bachelors of Science in Broadcast Journalism. While studying, I was a part of the school's award winning TV news station WEBN. I also interned at WCVB NewsCenter 5, where I was lucky enough to participate in Senate Debates involving the replacement of long-time Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy as well as volunteer at the station's Telethon for Haiti.
Sadly, I have had to give up my first passion of dance since my move across country. I had been dancing since the tender age of 3 and continued through college. I was the co-founder of a hip-hop dance company at Emerson and was a member of Emerson Dance Company.
I am honestly so excited to be working here at KCAU-TV. Please don't hesitate to shoot me an email with any story ideas, comments or questions!
