Jon Tritsch

It became clear at a young age, Jon was a little different than everybody else. In first grade he listed Mom, Dad, and Tom Osborne as members of his family. In second grade, his mom issued a 2 week ban on sports-talk radio as a ridiculously unfair punishment. Since when is standing on the dining room table and dribbling a basketball a poor choice? As if his hometown neighborhood of Murray, Nebraska hadn't caught onto the passion, Jon established himself by dressing up as a goal-post for Halloween '96.
Evidently, it was too late to turn back.
Jon played 5 different varsity sports in high school and played college football in Minnesota. He got his first taste of the "real world" at the Lincoln ABC station as a sports reporter; covering the Huskers, embracing human interest stories, and keeping peace with Bo Pelini.
Additionally, Jon lives for his Faith, traveling, seeing his two brothers succeed and maybe most of all: meeting people and making them smile.  Jon came to Sioux City for the opportunity to work with Sports Director/local sports czar Tim Seaman and live among people who tackle life enthusiastically.   Fully immersed into the Siouxland,  he can't wait to cover your team and hear your interesting story.  Sports affects people much, much more than box scores and rankings-further proof sports casting is not what you say but how you make people feel.  So let's work hard, have fun, and hit Jon up at jtritsch@kcautv.com
