The Yankton Police Department, with the assistance of The Heartland Humane Society and The Humane Society of the United States have set up a temporary Animal Shelter at the 4H grounds, to provide a safe place for the pets of those affected by the flooding. The use of Alcoa Arena to establish this temporary shelter has been generously donated by the Miracle Hockey Association, and supplies have been donated by Petsmart. Volunteers are needed also.
