The convicted killer of a South Sioux City toddler is slated to be back in court on Tuesday. Melicio Camacho-De Jesus was convicted of sexually assaulting and murdering a 3-year old girl in her South Sioux City home in May of 2009.
Last summer a jury found the 31-year old guilty of first-degree murder and later sentenced him to death. Now it's up to a three judge panel to decide whether or not to confirm the jury's decision and give Camacho-De Jesus a death sentence.
The hearing is set for Tuesday morning at 9 am.
