More than $830,000. That's how much the US Postal Service will bill Sioux City if they move forward with a freedom of information request.
Last month, City Manager Paul Eckert requested all documents and correspondence regarding the study of the Sioux City mail processing center.
That was shortly after the postal service decided to consolidate the facility with the one in Sioux Falls.
In a letter to the city, the postal service says it is because of a massive amount of computer time required to search for all the information.
