The Iowa Straw Poll isn't all business. Many of the candidates provide entertainment for the thousands of voters.
2008 republican Iowa caucus winner Mike Huckabee rocked out in support of Rick Santorum.
People dressed up for the affair, some like revolutionary war soldiers, another like Abraham Lincoln.
While the event is important for the candidates, they also try to keep it lighthearted and fun for the voters.
"I think it's amazing to see how many people that you get out here that enjoy themselves. There's a lot of smiles out here today. There's a lot of kids. There's a lot of people out here that believe in the future of this country," said Eric Grote, from Hampton, IA.
