Skating the State. That's what a group of women and their friends are doing to raise awareness about multiple sclerosis. Skating 216 miles across the state of Nebraska, for one cause. On Monday, the women started at the Kansas City border and finished the last five miles of the trip Saturday, crossing into Iowa. Along the way, they stopped in different towns and held fundraiser's to raise money for MS.

"We skate, that's what we do and if we can go what we enjoy and what we're good at to help the greater good by all means here we are...skating the state for MS," said Libby Claeys, skater.
This isn't their first time skating across a state, last year, they skated across South Dakota, raising almost $3,000 for the disease.
All of the women say the trip across the state is mentally and physically grueling, but it reminds them not to take their mobility for granted.
"Use my body to help those you cant. It's very amazing. It's a great feeling and I'm glad I get to do it and be a part of their dreams," said Dani Bock, skater.
The women say the people they meet battling MS, provide the motivation to keep going.
"A lot of people sharing their stories with us telling us thank you, in turn were thanking them and telling them thank you for being strong," said Melissa Dittberner, skater.
"Were not the inspirations, the ones that get up every morning with a smile on their face and battle this disease are the inspiration,' said Claeys.
The women plan to skate the state of Iowa next, and hope to eventually skate all 50 states to help find a cure for MS.
