The Monona County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in a school bus hit and run accident.
At about 7:35 a.m. Wednesday morning a West Monona Community School Bus was driving in the 22000 block of Larpenteur Memorial Road, north of Turin Iowa.
As the bus was pulling to stop a southbound passing vehicle and trailer struck the bus. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and continued south.
There were students on the bus at the time of the accident but no one was injured. The bus sustained significant damage and will have to be taken out of service.
The Monona County Sheriff says they are looking for a dark colored pickup and trailer with either an implement (farm equipment) or scrap metal on the trailer.
