Missouri River Flooding Causes Millions Of Dollars In Damage To SD Parks

People continue to recover from this summer's flooding.

South Dakota's State Parks Director says the flooding caused about nine million dollars in damage to state parks.

High water caused damage of varying degrees to 41 parks and recreation areas statewide.

The most extensive damage was in parks right along the Missouri River.

Crews began repairing the damage, and the state expects to have the parks open in time for next spring.
