Morningside Professor Donates Money To Replace Flood Damaged Trees

Thanks to a donation, some flood damaged trees in South Sioux City will soon be replaced. Terri McGaffin who is a Professor of Art at Morningside College presented a check of $400 dollars to the city to plant trees along the riverfront. "As I continue to watch the death of the trees and the sickness of the trees this summer it occurred to me that I really wanted to be able to do something to mitigate that damage."

Also Monday night, the City of South Sioux City approved a resolution allowing the mayor to apply for and sign a $5,000 grant application to plant trees in Scenic Park.
