The search for an Odebolt, IA man who has been missing for more than a week.
Charles Bird, 44, was last seen on January 7th. That day he walked away from his home to search for his missing wallet.
On Monday morning a ground search with about 25-volunteers took place around the community of Odebolt. Law Enforcement from the Sac County Sheriff's Office and a pilot from the Carroll County Sheriff's Office conducted an aerial search as well.
Community members and family and friends of Charles Bird searched areas by foot and by ATV. The air search concentrated on an area south and east of Odebolt to the Sac Crawford County line and searched an area around Reiff Park south of Early.
Sheriff Ken McClure stated that although the Sheriff's Office has received several leads from the public, they still have not been able to locate Bird. Sheriff McClure is asking that property owners check their properties and waterways.
Bird was last seen wearing a flannel long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a tan stocking cap. He is a white male who is 5'2" and weighs approximately 150 pounds. Bird had recently shaved off his beard and when last seen was clean shaven.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Charles Bird is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 712-662-7127.
