Slick roads are being blamed for a fatal accident that happened about 3 miles north of Denison, IA on Monday morning. The accident took place at 8:36am.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, 61 year-old Margaret Irvine of Schleswig was driving on Highway 59 when she lost control on the slick roadway. Her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming semi.
Irvine was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time.
