A Jefferson man has been arrested and charged with rape.
According to Union County State Attorney Jerry Miller, 40 year old Chris Mollet was arrested on January 23 and charged with rape and sexual contact with a minor.
Miller said the rape charge comes from an incident last summer and the contact with a minor charge is more recent.
Mollet is scheduled to appear in court on February 13.
