Former Businessman Charged With Selling Synthetic Drugs

Posted: Updated:

A former Sioux City businessman has been charged with selling synthetic marijuana to an undercover police officer.

67-year-old Frank Firoz of South Sioux City faces three charges. Court documents show he's being accused of a drug stamp tax violation, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and delivery of a counterfeit or simulated substance.

Firoz was taken into custody last Thursday. But documents show the incident happened July 29th when an undercover officer bought synthetic drugs from Exotica on West Third Street in Sioux City. Exotica has since been closed down.

Synthetic drugs are illegal.
