IAHSAA State Dual Wrestling Results

Wrestling continues at the IAHSAA State Team Dual Championships.  Two Siouxland teams in the event were bumped to the consolation round after first round setbacks.  In Class 2A West Deleware knocked off Spirit Lake Park 53-20.  Rick Maris and Isaac Lundgren picked up pins for the Indians who later beat Denver-Tripoli 49-30 in the 2nd round.  The Indians can finish as high as 5th place.

In Class 1A Woodbury Central dropped a 49-23 decision to Nashua-Plainfield.  Jared McCoy and Jordan Bremer earned falls in the match.  The Wildcats bounced back in the second round with a 66-18 win over Martensdale St Mary's and can also finish as high as 5th.

The traditional state tournament begins Thursday morning at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
