UPDATE: Authorities now say Carlos Alfredo Arevalo-Martinez has been arrested. He has been taken to Faith Regional Medical Center in Norfolk.
Schools in the Nebraska town of Stanton are on lock down as the sheriff's office surrounds a trailer home where they believe the man wanted for a Norfolk shooting is staying.
Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says they have reason to believe that Carlos Alfredo Arevalo-Martinez is at that residence. Unger says SWAT has set up a perimeter around the house.
Students will not be allowed to leave the school until the situation has diffused. Parents are advised to stay away from the schools until further notice.
Arevalo-Martinez is wanted for first-degree assault and use of a firearm to commit a felony in connection with the Tuesday shooting of Edna Guitierez.
Guiterez remains in serious condition in the intensive care unit of the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
