Lincoln Elementary Honors The Holiday With Presidential Projects

Posted: Updated:

Third graders at Lincoln Elementary School showed off their patriotic pride this afternoon. In honor of Presidents Day, each of the students in Mrs. Mahnke's class chose one of our nation's forty–four leaders to do a project on. The students displayed their creativity in many fun ways that delighted their teacher.

"They've really enjoyed it. They've been doing it through Powerpoint and making posters and they've learned a lot of great facts about the presidents that they didn't know before."

Parents and other students visited the classroom to reflect and learn more about the history of our nation. The most popular choice among the students was Abraham Lincoln while John F. Kennedy and current president Barack Obama were also well–represented. George Washington will have his 280th birthday on Wednesday, February 22nd.
