Today a judge encouraged Bradley Gregg to "do something about his life." Gregg is accused of fatally punching another man but today, he was in court for unrelated drug charges.
Gregg is facing a 4 year probation for using a person under 18 years of age to sell marijuana. He escaped a sentence of 10 years in prison that the prosecution had suggested.
In January a Woodbury County District Court Jury found Gregg guilty of using a minor to traffic marijuana and for possession of a controlled substance. Today he also received credit for the time he has already served in jail for his conviction.
Gregg will remain in custody because he's still going to trial on March 20th on charges of involuntary manslaughter that caused the death of 28–year–old Joe McDonald in October of 2010 on Historic 4th St. He was already on trial for that case in September but it ended in a mistrial because the jury couldn't come up with a verdict after about 20 hours of deliberation.
