Hello Siouxland,
I'm so thankful to have spent the last 10 months here in Sioux City getting to know many great people and learning so much about the Midwest! I am very excited to start as your new Weekend Anchor. I'm so grateful for this opportunity, and am looking forward to serving you as a community.
I am a West Coast girl, born & raised in Northern California. I spent my college years in the state of Washington, where I was honored to be on the Washington State University women's basketball team. I am not hard to miss, I am 6'8", so if you see a very tall woman walking around in heels with a camera, chances are it's me! I absolutely love being tall, and don't mind answering questions about it; feel free to ask anything (But, I will tell you - the weather up here is the same as the weather down there!).
Before coming to Sioux City, I was a color commentator for WSU Women's Basketball games; and I was an on-air staff member at two radio stations in Pullman, Washington. I also had the privilege of interning for NBC News in Los Angeles during the summer of 2011.
In my spare time, I enjoy working out at the gym, being outdoors, relaxing and catching up on the latest news at a coffee shop, coaching basketball, or watching the latest box office movies.
I have a passion for news and helping people stay connected with the issues around the world. I would love your involvement! I want to report on the stories that are important to you. Please don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to meeting you!
