I joined the crowds of people at the Promenade on 4th Street for the premiere of Hunger Games. I took my ticket and a bag of popcorn and followed the crowds of people into the theater. I had only seen previews, and I hadn't read the books, but I was just as captivated by the show as the fans who had been following the series all along.
Hunger Games diehard, Rebecca Smith says, "I've read all three books, I was with it from the very beginning, and I got here at 3:30 p.m. today, came right after school."
As with all books turned into movies, those who actually read the books always worry the movie might not meet their expectations.
Hunger Games fan, Alec Mark, says "It was great, I really like it, it fit very well with the books and everything."
And Rebecca adds, "I was just so ecstatic I was just worried you know if it would ruin my image of the book, but it was just a perfect match it was very good!"
I think it's safe to say, the movie truly is a "must see."
