Travis Morgan started his broadcasting career right here in Sioux City back in 1998. His career has taken him to Sioux Falls, Topeka, Omaha, and now every station in Sioux City. Travis has a true passion for covering local high school and college sports. He says "It's hard to explain to people who aren't from the Midwest what local sports mean to small towns. Sports is what those towns hang their hat on, it's what brings everyone together on a Friday night, and it's what the four guys in John Deer hats are talking about in the coffee shop every morning."
Travis comes to Channel 9 after spending two years as the Sports Director at KMTV Channel 3 in Omaha. During his time there he covered Nebraska's last year in the Big 12 and first year in the Big 10. And although the Huskers are his favorite team, he missed the action back here in Siouxland.
During his career Travis has been nominated for 3 Emmy Awards, has won the South Dakota AP Sports Story of the Year 5 times, and has also been awarded for Nebraska's Best Sportscast.
When he's not covering sports Travis enjoys playing golf, fishing, and traveling with his wife Sarah.
