Young and old, survivors and supporters, all participating in this year's 4th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Despite the challenges this year's race had to deal with, more than 2, 800 people participated, and you can bet every single pair of shoes had a story to tell...
"She's a 4 year, and I'm a 3 year."
"I am a 43 year breast cancer survivor," said Betty Roeder of Schaller Iowa.
Walkers and runners came from all over Siouxland, wearing plenty of pink and sporting team tee shirts to show their support, because whether you know someone who suffered from breast cancer or you're a survivor yourself, battling the disease is something you shouldn't have to do alone.
"She is going through chemotherapy right now. And she was with us through a really tough time, so we NEED to be here for her," says Tasha Conley of Sioux City.
Running together, walking together, finding a cure together.
"It's just inspiring," says Roeder.
"It's awesome, to see family and friends here support each other... and it's awesome to see people say you know I don't want any more people to suffer... so let's find a cure," says Alex Conley.
