The Sioux City- City Council is looking into raising water rates.
Last night the Council discussed a plan to increase the current rates by 7% every year for the next 3 years.
That means your water bill would go up by $1.92 each month for the first year, with higher increases the second and third year.
The money would be used for operating costs.
The last time the water rates were raised was 2009.
