A Siouxland man doesn't know where he's going to sleep at night after his home burned down Thursday morning.
His home about 5 miles east of Emerson on Highway 35, was burning when a driver called the Fire Department just after 8o'clock Thursday morning. The homeowner was not home at the time.
Thursday afternoon trees near the home were still smoldering. The homeowner told us those will be taken down Thursday night.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
