It was ladies' day at the Elk Point Country Club Golf Course. The annual Rally for the Cure golf tournament was held Wednesday to raise money for local breast cancer education and screening.

Women supported the cause by wearing pink and making donations. The event is hosted by the local Susan G. Komen for the Cure affiliate.

It started 15 years ago, and is still growing in numbers.

"The biggest way for me that I've seen it grow is that, we in the last five years have started picking a local breast cancer survivor, and we have a hole dedicated to her," said Emily Wells, organizer for Rally for a Cure.

This year hole eight was dedicated to Elaine Peacock, who is a local survivor.

And a local family will be matching the amount of money raised for Peacock.
