It was smiles all around as one local dental team gave back to the community.

Lilly Family Dentistry" hosted an all day free dental clinic to well over seventy people.

Making all those smiles easy on the eyes as well as easy on the pocketbook.

Patient Tyler Erickson said, "I decided to come out because I haven't really been able to afford to actual have the dentist look at my teeth and tell me if I need to get my whether I need to get my back wisdom teeth extracted or not."

Thanks to the national program, "Dentistry from the Heart", the office was able to give patients the choice of a filling, extraction or cleaning.

And of course, many took advantage of it through rain and shine.

Dental hygienist Jackie Marrinan noted,"I've been working hard all morning. We've had a lot of patients here even through the rainstorm this morning and we're just grateful that people did show up for some wonderful thing like this."

The free care was on a first come first serve basis in which patients waited as their number was called.

Now, it's the first time Lilly hosted such event, and it was all made possible through a group effort.

Over forty volunteers, three hygienists and five doctors, all made dental care a little more accessible for many.

Marina added, "Ya know, there's a lot of people out there in need right now.  There's jobs that just aren't there. The jobs that are there don't always have dental insurance and people do have needs. It's a big medical problem. And so just being able to help people out in that aspect, it gives us great pride and joy."
