You. That's why I love the news. We each have our own story or some story to tell, and being able to learn and share our stories is why I decided to join the world of broadcast journalism. We are all intriguing people in some shape or form!
I'm a local girl, born and raised in Laurens, Iowa. So, you can say Siouxland and the TV stations here have always been a part of my life. Wherever I go, I have to admit, I'll truly be happy to call Iowa home, the true heart of the Heartland.
I graduated from the University of South Dakota in May 2012 studying broadcast journalism and international studies. I've always been fascinated with other cultures as my mother is Filipino. So, learning about other cultures and people from all walks of life has always been close to my heart.
Before coming to KCAU, I worked with the USD campus TV station and South Dakota Public Broadcasting.
