All women want to feel pretty, no matter what they've been through. And the staff at St. Luke's Home Care is finding that many women who've had a mastectomy are still ready to hit the pool this summer. They just need a little extra help feeling their best.
The swimsuits at St. Luke's Home Care are just like what you might find in the major stores. But the suits aren't just fashionable, they serve a specific purpose.
Many women who've had one or both breast removed because of breast cancer still want to join their families poolside this summer. And these suits allow them to do that. Along with a special swim prosthesis, they help women to feel confident and comfortable in the water.
"They want a big selection – they want to be able to have swim suits that other women could go into Kohl's to buy or JCPenney, so they want the different selection and styles and they want to be able to wear their prosthesis with it," says Jacquie Adams with St. Luke's Home Care.
Jacquie says you can find a good selection at their store in the Marketplace Mall, and they also have catalogs that you can order from. They can help you find the right prosthesis for you, as well.
